We are excited to share that the first session of our Brown Bag Lunch Seminar was a great success!
The seminar featured a presentation on “Richard Francis Burton and the Birth of Environmentalism” by Prof. Dr. Henrique Chaves. The discussion explored historical perspectives on environmental thought, bringing valuable insights into how early explorations helped shape modern environmentalism.
One of the highlights of the session was the diverse audience, with participants from different academic backgrounds. This truly reflects the core purpose of a Brown Bag Lunch Seminar: creating an open space where people from various fields can come together, exchange ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions.
All conversations were conducted in English, fostering an inclusive and dynamic environment for everyone involved.
We look forward to the next sessions, stay tuned!

It was a very interesting activity at the Watershed Management Laboratory. Besides learning about a new subject, we practiced our English.
